Accessibility Guide

Here at The North Pole Experience we aim to be fully inclusive to ensure that as many of our guests as possible can enjoy the magic of the North Pole as comfortably as possible.

The following guide has been designed to give you as much information about the day and what you can expect, this will allow our guests to be able to make informed decisions about whether this event is suitable for you and your family.

SENsational Sessions

Our SENsational sessions are sessions that are specially designed to be tailored for those with additional needs.

All SENsational sessions have a significantly reduced capacity to our regular sessions meaning the sessions are quieter. We also are able to change our performances to have no loud bangs or unexpected noises. These changes result in a gentle, welcoming space for all.

This session is perfect for elflets who may find crowds, loud noises, or queues overwhelming. We aim to create an inclusive and enjoyable experience where everyone can feel at ease.

Places for SENsational sessions are limited, and are secured on a first come first served basis. SENsational sessions are on the 29th November and the 22nd December starting at 9:30am.

If you miss the opportunity to purchase tickets for our SENsational sessions, we would recommend booking our standard sessions on any day at either 8am, 8:30am, 4:30pm or 5pm. This is due to the fact that the Town Square will be quieter due to the natural reduction in visitors towards the end of the day / the build up of people in the morning.

This might provide a more relaxed and enjoyable experience for your little one. Our friendly elves are always happy to help make your visit as magical as possible, so please don't hesitate to ask if there's anything they can do to assist.

Care Assistant Tickets

We understand that some of our child & adult guests have additional needs, and in instances where the parent/guardian is also their carer, we offer care assistant tickets.

These tickets are sold at a half price discount, and are available on every single session throughout the event.

To ensure as many families as possible can benefit from a Care assistant ticket, guests are limited to one carer ticket per booking.

Once you have placed your booking with a care assistant ticket, you will receive a separate email from accessibility@thenorthpoleexperience.co.uk. In this email you will be asked for your carer entitlement evidence. Once we have received this evidence, your care assistant ticket will be approved.

We currently accept the following eligibility evidence:

- Letter/notice of entitlement for DLA, PIP, AA, or Carer’s Allowance

- Disabled Freedom Pass or Blue Parking Badge

- DID Card or Access Card*

Please note failure to provide evidence will result in the Care Assistant Ticket being removed from the booking and a full priced ticket charged to confirm your booking.

Care Assistant tickets cannot be added on the day of your visit. Please do ensure you book this ticket online prior to your arrival.

Wheelchair Accessibility

Our site is wheelchair accessible however we would like to make any of our guests using mobility aids aware that some of the flooring may be uneven or slightly muddy, there may also be some steep sections and ramps getting in/ out of our buildings or due to the uneven natural flooring.

If possible, we recommend you bring a wheelchair with off-road tyres, that are suitable for outdoor terrain and environment. Should you wish to hire a wheelchair, we kindly ask that this is arranged privately prior to your visit, as we are unable to provide wheelchairs onsite.

Unfortunately we are unable to allow wheelchairs onto our ice rink due to our risk assessments. We hope that all guests find and accept any decisions made on the day or prior to your visit in the interest of your safety and the safety of all other guests..
